For those of you that are on the market for new tools, we highly recommend Makita. Like Dewalt, Makita is a name that is pretty popular throughout the world – they are known for offering high quality tools. Looking online, you will find a large portion of their products that have high ratings, so it’s obvious people really like the company. If you just so happen to be in the need for cordless tools that you can use for driving, drilling and fastening applications, then you are in luck because we recently discovered a combo kit that has all of that. Today, we are going to give you an honest review on the Makita CT200RW Cordless Combo Kit so that you can decide whether or not it is a suitable option for you.

About the Makita CT200RW Cordless Combo Kit

Makita CT200RW review
This is a good kit that comes with a pair of tools. They offer an impact driver (XDTo4) and a cordless drill (XFD01). Both of these tools have been built for users that need the best of the best when it comes to cordless tools for driving, drilling, and fastening. Each of these tools have been equipped with what is referred to Star Protection Computer Controls in order to prevent the tools from over-discharging, overloading, and of course, over-heating.

With this combo kit, you will also receive a total of two 18V Lithium-Ion batteries (we like how you don’t have to share batteries, each tool has its own) and of course, the kit comes with one charger and a nice tool bag, so you will have a place to store your tools.

A Closer Look at the Drill

The drill has a speed change lever that will give you the chance to choose between 0-400 RPM or on high, you can choose between 0-1500 RPM. There’s a reversing switch lever on the drilling tool, so you can easily change the direction it rotates (this feature comes in handy).

Looking online at the reviews, we find that people have been satisfied with this tool – they seem to love the power of it. The maximum drilling capacity, by the way, in wood is 38mm and in steel, it is 13mm.

A Closer Look at the Impact Driver

The Makita KDTo4 impact driver is another good one that offers up to 2300 RPM and is capable of delivering up to 3200 IPM – obviously, it can handle different types of fastening applications. For example, if you would like to build a deck, this impact driver would be a great choice.

Additional Information

The batteries that come with the combo kit are interchangeable, so you can use it with other Makita 18V LXT tools. The charger can plug into the standard 120V outlet, so you don’t need anything special for that. Looking online at reviews, we find many satisfied customers when it comes to the amount of time it takes to charge the battery – it should only take between 15-25 minutes in order for it to reach a full charge, which is great.

Both the drill and the driver has an LED light – this will be useful during those times when you are required to work in low-light conditions. When you turn the tool on, the LED light will come on.

All in all, if you are looking for a drill and an impact driver, we highly recommend the Makita CT200RW Cordless Combo Kit. Makita is a brand name you can put your trust in as they are known for their high quality products.
